Design Integrated Technology has been producing their helicone mixer for over thirty (30) years. It is available in two models: the Cone Vertical (CV) and the Single Cone (SC). These are highly specialized, multi-agitator mixers with applications ranging over a broad scope of industries including Pharmaceutical, Thermoplastic, Adhesive, Cosmetic and Polymer, just to name a few. These products typically outperform horizontal and vertical planetary mixers by cutting client mix times as much as 50%. Both the CV and the SC are low speed, medium shear style mixers with excellent dispersement. High viscosity polymerization and condensation reactions are routinely accomplished with the helicone. The unique mixing principle of using dual helical/conical blades intermeshing throughout the conical envelope of the bowl of the CV model provides the ultimate in variable batch mixing capability. Its inherent primary feature provides safe, efficient, thorough mixing. Mixing is carried out in both horizontal and vertical planes and each mix component is brought into rapid, intimate contact with all other components of the batch. The SC model is a single conical design using 2 separately driven blades. The outer blade consists of 2 helical conical flights 180° opposed. The inner blade is a positive screw auger for mixing, lifting or discharging via its inherent pumping action. Other blade configurations can be substituted for the inner auger to provide such characteristics as high shear emulsifying, for example. DIT is your mix consultant specialist.
